When paraphrases, the term "walk" can easily be defined as "a series of steps taken to reach a destination." Oftentimes, those steps can alter one's life experience forever.

For Alex Meacham,  his "walk" onto one of the premiere college basketball programs in the country is paying dividends that will likely last a lifetime.

In Walk Of A Lifetime, Alex tells how he made the U.C. squad despite having little high school experience because of injuries and other circumstances that aborted his career. But despite the extended layoff, the burning desire  to resume playing never left him. For Alex it was simply a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. Both conveniently met during the '97-'98 season. From that point forward, although surrounded by All-Americans and junior college transfers Alex always part of the team.

Serving as a walk-on in Cincinnati's basketball is genuinely difficult, but Alex Meacham conquered the challenge with a strong sense of purpose and an irrepressible personality. This is his story.
