UIFL and River Monsters agree to part ways
CANTON, OH - The Ultimate Indoor Football League along with the Northern Kentucky River Monsters have mutually agreed to part ways effective June 6, 2011.
The Northern Kentucky River Monsters finished the UIFL inaugural season with a regular season record of 11 wins and 3 loses.
The River Monsters are free to join another league, as well the UIFL can place a team in the Northern KY/Cincinnati area for the 2012 season.
The Ultimate Indoor Football League finished the regular season at the end of May, and Ultimate Bowl I will be played Friday June 10th in Saginaw, MI to crown the 1st UIFL Champions! For more information about the UIFL, visit www.theuifl.com.

Lenhart scores four touchdowns, late FG sinks NKY
PIKEVILLE, KY – Daniel Eidson’s 17 yards field goal with 24 seconds remaining lifted Eastern Kentucky to the 44-43 victory over Northern Kentucky in the regular season finale for both teams Saturday at the Eastern Kentucky Exposition Center.
NKY had a chance but Willie Idlette was tackled in bounds as the clock expired.
Subbing for Jared Lorenzen, back-up quarterback Ryan Well played very well in his first career start. He completed his first seven passes en route to 26 of 36 passing for 288 yards and six touchdowns.
Receiver Ricardo Lenhart pulled in 11 passes for 115 yards and six touchdowns. Willie Idlette added seven receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
NKY (11-3) finishes the season with best regular season record heading into next week’s playoffs.
