Woodward 68, Landmark 49

Eric Hill scored a career-high 25 points on 9-of-17 shooting as Woodward snapped a four-game losing streak with the 68-49 victory over Landmark. Hill hit his first five shots as the Bulldogs opened a 10-point first-quarter lead. Anthony James added 14 for WHS, while Nathan Taylor lead Landmark with 20.

Withrow held the Bulldogs to just three points in the third quarter to blow open a close contest en route to posting the 62-44 victory Wednesday in CMAC action. Damon Good led the Tigers with 16 points, while Tyler Jordan downed 12 points. With coaches from Cincinnati and Ohio State in the gym, Devin Williams - who recorded two fouls early in the first quarter, finished with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Eric Hill led Woodward with 22 points.

Aiken 60, Woodward 48

Austin Grimes and Willie Moore combined for 40 points as Aiken used a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter to hold off the Woodward Bulldogs, 60-48. Grimes led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Moore added 17 points and seven boards for the Falcons. Shawnluke Cotton and Eric Hill each tallied 12 points for Woodward.

Guards Antonio Woods and Kevin Johnson combined for 26 points and Summit shot 67 percent in the first half en route to the 55-30 victory over Woodward. The Silver Knights improved to 6-0, while Woodward saw its two-game winning streak come to an end in falling to 3-4. Tyrone Whitehead led the Bulldogs with eight points and five boards.

Senior Chris Connell, a transfer from Lakota West, recorded his first career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to help Woodward to the 63-58 victory over Oak Ridge (FL) Saturday. It was the Bulldogs' second straight win. Senior Eric Hill added 13 points, marking the fifth time in six games he scored in double figures.

Oak Ridge was led by sophomore Marquel Willis, who dropped in 30 points on 8-of-12 shooting with six rebounds.

Woodward 74, Hughes 73

Senior guard Eric Hill's rebound and putback as time expired helped Woodward earn its first victory of the season, 74-73, over Hughes Saturday. The rebound helped secure the first career double-double for Hill as he finished the contest with 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Junior guard Tyrone Whitehead also had his first career double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

After trailing for the majority of the game, the long range shooting of Kevin Daniels and Terry Cook brought the Big Red back into the game. In fact, Cook's three-pointer with 12 seconds left game Hughes the lead. Daniels finished with 26 points and Cook 20 to lead the Big Reg. Point guard Angel Rivera had 10 points and 10 assists.

Withrow junior forward Devin Williams came off the bench for 17 points and 11 rebounds as the Tigers opened the season with a 71-44 victory over Woodward Friday.

The Tigers forced 30 turnovers and held Woodward to 36 percent shooting in the CMAC opener for both teams.

Shawnluke Cotton scored a career-high 14 points, while Eric Hill added 10 for the Bulldogs.
