MIDDLETOWN
GIRL'S BASKETBALL

GREAT DAY TO BE A MIDDIE!

Micah Dennis was recognized at the Middies vs. Sycamore Girl's basketball game on Wednesday night with the "Love of The Game Award

In 2009 Paula Hayden- Sycamore's Head Girl's Basketball Coach- and the Sycamore High School Basketball program established, ³The Bob Cooper Love of The Game Award².

Bob was a Sycamore Parent who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49 in June of 2009. Playing basketball was a sport he thoroughly enjoyed growing up and he wanted to make sure his girls did too by putting a basketball in their hand at an early age. Both of his daughters, Alex a 2007 graduate and Abby a 2009 graduate grew up playing basketball for Sycamore from the time they were at The Greene School until they finished their Senior years. Bob was there every step of the way, a fixture on the bench: always proud, always cheering, and always coaching (maybe a little bit too much). His enthusiasm and fondness carried over to all of their teammates. He loved them all. His goal was to help them be the best they could be.

Bob followed suite with his two sons Shaun a 1st grader at Maple Dale and Kyle who will be there next year having them dribble and shoot as soon as they walked. Although daughter Alexandria was not a player, he did get her on the court a few times. Bob¹s passion for life, his family, his work, The Green Bay Packers and Basketball were all contagious. He is deeply missed but will never be forgotten.

Micah Dennis-- This award is for you. It is for your hard work, your dedication to everything you do and because you exude what Bob Cooper had, THE LOVE FOR THE GAME.

Congratulations to Micah --

Coach Dalton and the Middies basketball program says thank you to Coach Hayden and her program for honoring Micah.
