Landmark-Woodward
BOY'S BASKETBALL
For 53 seconds in the third quarter, the Woodward Bulldogs displayed a suffocating defense that would impress the most ardent defensive coach. They forced four consecutive turnovers and scored nine straight points to seize momentum en route to the 65-53 victory over Landmark Friday.
The spurt enabled the Bulldogs to transform a three-point deficit into a 12-point victory as Woodward snapped a five-game winning streak and improved to 2-6 on the season. Junior Eric Hill reached double figures for the third straight game with a career-high 20 points, while senior Antonio Fairbanks pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds.
