Colerain High School and Christi Mack announce her resignation as girls Head Basketball Coach. Christi wants to enjoy more time with her family.

Colerain football coach Tom Bolden said this morning that two juniors have received additional scholarship offers.
Colerain running back Tyler Williams has added a scholarship offer from Ohio University, Williams also has an offer from Kent State.
 
Colerain linebacker Jarrett Grace has added an offer from Michigan State. Grace also has offers that include UC, Notre Dame, Kentucky and several others.
 
Colerain has five juniors with Division I scholarship offers - the most of any area high school.

GIRL'S BASKETBALL

Ashley Wanninger has been selected to play in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Basketball Game to be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 5:30 pm at Thomas More College.  She was selected from a pool consisting of all senior basketball players in the state.  Ashley is excited to represent her team, school, and community in such a great event.

Girls Head Basketball Coach Christi Mack has also been selected to participate in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Basketball Game.  Coach Mack will be the Head Coach of Team Ohio.  Coach Mack is honored at the choice to lead such a talented group of players in a great game against another outstanding group of players in Team Kentucky.

Remembering, Reaching Out and Connecting

During the game on Wednesday, February 3rd The Colerain Girls Basketball program will be remembering a special friend, and fan Norb Monning, “Mr. Colerain”

In his honor and example of caring and supporting the Colerain community, The Lady Cardinals invite you to participate in a collection of can goods and other non-perishable items for local food banks as well as assisting with the relief efforts that are now on-going with those suffering in Haiti

Plan to attend the game against Princeton in what will sure to be an exciting battle breaking a tie for first place in the GMC!

Bring in 2 can goods and get $2.00 off admission at the gate!

BOY'S BASKETbALL

Colerain High School and Ryle High School announced an agreement to play football week 2 beginning with the 2011 season.  The series will begin on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Colerain.  Ryle will host the 2012 game scheduled for Friday, August 31.  Both schools are excited about the impending match-up and hope it becomes a rivalry. 

Both schools will also play contests in boy’s and girl’s soccer and boy’s basketball beginning in 2010.

Colerain junior linebacker Jarrett Grace has been offered a scholarship by Colorado. Grace, who also has an offer from UC, is considered one of the area's top players in the 2011 class. He helped lead the Cardinals' defense this season.  He was first-team all-city in Division I. Colerain finished with an 8-2 record

BOOSTER STAG

The Colerain High School Booster Stag will be held Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Kolping Center at 10235 Mill Road.  This year’s guest speaker is former Cincinnati Bengal, current Cincinnati Bengal radio analysis, and Big 12 TV analysis Dave Lapham.  Tickets are $50.  The ticket includes admission, dinner, and drinks.  A silent auction will also be held during the stag.  A social hour will begin at 6:00pm with dinner following at roughly 7:00pm and our guest speaker at roughly 8:00pm.  All proceeds benefit the Colerain Boosters who over the last 10 years have donated over $1 million dollars to better Colerain High School’s student-athletes, clubs, and organizations.  Tickets are available from Booster members or in the Colerain High School Athletic Office from 8:30am-4:30pm during school days beginning Thursday, December 3, 2009.   We look forward to seeing you there!

Colerain senior linebacker Tyon Dixon is still orally committed to the University of Louisville, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Colerain coach Tom Bolden told the Enquirer that Dixon is still committed to Louisville as of now. Louisville football coach Steve Kragthorpe was fired last weekend.

Dixon orally committed to Louisville last summer. The NCAA signing period for football begins in February 2010.
 
Girls’ basketball player Ashley Wanninger will sign with Xavier.

Swimmer Lauren Weaver will sign with Duke.

Colerain is scheduled to play host to Elder on Sept. 3, 2010, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. It will be a Week 2 game for Colerain. Elder defeated visiting Colerain 20-7 during Labor Day weekend this fall at the Pit. The game was televised on ESPN.
